Profile

My story

I am a French homoerotic artist who embraced fetish and chose featuring leathermen and kinksters as my signature characters. My pseudonym is a tribute to Marvel’s X-Men superhero character Logan, better known as "The Wolverine".

Having been drawing since early childhood, I learned drawing basics and techniques while spending three years in an art school. Thereafter I got an university diploma in book publishing/distributing and furthered my education by taking a graphic design course that helped me improve my visual design skills, to become a professional graphic designer.

As a son of a gendarme (French military officer) and fan of comics like Blake & Mortimer by Edgar P. Jacobs, I was totally fascinated with images of rugged masculinity and surrounded by symbols of authority. I was 16 when I discovered my fetish for leather gear through watching a music video by a French electro band called RedRog. Seeing the band performing in muircaps, leather harnesses and chaps became a moment of epiphany for me. Needless to say, I became a devoted leatherman myself, as well as focused on leather fetish imagery in my artworks.

My Work

I find daily inspiration in leather fetish subculture. My characters are mostly tough-looking muscled and/or big-bellied leathemen rocking their tall leather boots, classic biker jackets, chaps or breeches, and muircaps. They also feature extensive body and facial hair, oftentimes wearing a full beard and moustache.

I usually work on paper and digital, as these two media have always been complementary in my opinion. Depending on my clients' wishes, I can produce both physical and digital versions of a same illustration.

When I draw on paper, I use B and HB graphite pencils combined with a series of Indian-inked black pens, each one featuring its own thickness. From time to time, I also add a slight touch of colour.

For the digital, I work on a graphic tablet. Photoshop has been my main tool for years, and now all my coloured artworks are made using Clip Studio Paint.
